A priest of Palermo, Sicily, was arrested Friday after accusations of sexual abuse during exorcism sessions and "spiritual healing", local media reported.
Salvatore Anello, 59, also a hospital chaplain, is suspected of sexually assaulting four women and a 12 year old girl during the "healing prayers" supposed to help them recover from illness or to be free of a diabolical possession.
His arrest follows six-month investigation into a colonel in 52 years, Salvatore Muratore, a member of a religious movement, and also accused of similar attacks.
