While Deacon is in surgery, Eric tries to convince Bridget that the shooting was an accident and he had no idea the gun was loaded. Lt. Baker asks them who pulled the trigger. Eric insists that he did not go over there to shoot Deacon. They were struggling over the gun when it went off. Lt. Baker warns Eric that he could be facing murder charges if Deacon doesn't make it. Mark tells Bridget that they were able to remove the bullet, but the damage was severe and Deacon may be paralyzed from the waist down. Bridget moves away from Eric when he tries to comfort her. Deacon, just out of surgery, tries to reassure Bridget that they'll pick up where they left off when he gets out of the hospital. Sally waits with Darla for her doctor's appointment and admits she's also there to see if she can dig up more dirt about Brooke. Sally snoops through the doctor's appointment book and sees that Brooke is scheduled for CVS, the test that will determine the baby's paternity. Brooke tells Stephanie that she is as much to blame for what happened as Nick is. Stephanie is horrified when she realizes that Brooke betrayed Ridge with his own brother. Ridge tells Stephanie that he has forgiven Brooke and he wants her to do the same. Stephanie wonders if there's a chance the baby could be Nick's. Brooke explains that she's scheduled for the test that will prove her baby is Ridge's.
