TISHOMINGO, OKLAHOMA — A high school cheerleading coach who was arrested and suspended last month for giving some inappropriate extracurricular encouragement to a student is still being paid her teacher’s salary.
Investigators say Shelley Duncan, 48, had sexual contact with a 14-year-old boy, even promising to soothe his pom-poms with a cough drop in her mouth, the Daily Caller reported.
In addition to her cheer coach job at Tishomingo High School in Oklahoma, Duncan works as an English teacher at an alternative education high school school in the district. She is also a reserve college police officer and is married to the Tishomingo Public Schools superintendent.
But that didn’t stop her from getting sexually involved with the boy, organizing their inappropriate liaisons through Snapchat.
Investigators say Duncan called the boy “boo” and “love” and told him “U have no idea what u mean to me … I’m here for the rest of ur life.”
She told him it was “hot” that he loved his mom, before the boy’s mother reported the affair to the police.
The boy told the cops about several makeout sessions with Duncan, including kissing her while her daughter slept in the same car.
Duncan’s husband Kevin said his wife is eligible to receive her salary despite her suspension, while her criminal case is pending. Reports did not say whether the superintendent had issued his own suspension on his wife for cuckolding him with a kid 34 years her junior.
