Player Attack - October 14, 2016 [SE4 EP33 1/4]

This week's episode features cards, castles and chainsaws - a little something for everyone!

Jonny catches up with Matt from CD Projekt RED to talk about upcoming digital card game Gwent. It seems that in the sweeping, open world of The Witcher 3, a significant number of people just wanted to sit around in taverns, playing cards - so the studio spun it out into its own game!

Mike jumps back in time with his latest Videogame Shoebox, looking at Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which first hit the original PlayStation back in 1997. The game's non-linear level design has helped create an entirely new genre of RPGs - but how well does it hold up 20 years later?

And on the review side of things, Angelo has spent some time with Gears of War 4. It's 25 years since the Locust invasion, but things aren't exactly peaceful. The new game pits Marcus's son JD Fenix against against a horrific new enemy - The Swarm - in a tale of rescue and revenge, out now for Xbox One and Windows PC!

...plus, of course, we have all the latest gaming news as well - this is Player Attack!
