MAKKAH: Governor of Makkah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal along with other dignitaries performed the cleaning of the Holy Kaaba on Monday.
The ceremony of cleaning the inside of the Holy Kaaba was conducted using Aab-e-Zamzam mixed with Oud perfume.
The ceremony began an hour after Fajr prayers when the dignitaries entered the Holy Kaaba and offered prayers in the same site as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to pray, according to Saudi media reports.
The cleaning ceremony took approximately two hours after which the Governor performed Tawaaf, which is part of the holy ritual.
