The man convicted of attempted murder for shooting at George Zimmerman was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Florida authorities said. Matthew Apperson was convicted of attempted second-degree murder last month and will also serve a concurrent 15-year sentence for aggravated assault. Zimmerman was famously acquitted of a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012.
