Early on Sunday, the nominee tweeted, “Tremendous support (except for some Republican 'leadership').Thank you.”
About an hour later, he followed up with another message, stating, “So many self-righteous hypocrites. Watch their poll numbers - and elections - go down!”
In the interim, he posted retweets from supporters including one who wrote, “‘Republican leadership’ should have only one job: Help elect the nominee we voted for, Donald J. Trump.”
The businessman also sent out the link to a Breitbart story featuring a woman who claims Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her.
