I loved using D-Horse but swapped for Quiet, even though my walks are now twice as long. Christ. I took two semesters of chem at uni. It did not prepare me for ANY of that. It's like you started speaking another language. Bitches. I don't think you read the post they're talking about. They were up in the wilderness out of cell reception, and when they got close enough to civilization, they did call 911, and arranged to meet up with an ambulance.
But sometimes waiting for an ambulance can mean the difference between life and death, and you need to make a decision, and sometimes that decision is to haul ass as fast as you can. Pleased to be repeating your vital numbers here, his royal highness has recently had some computer issues and lost your most faithful and trustworthy email correspondence. ;-) Acai (Ah-Kai) The problem with this segment, and I agree with basically all of it, is its narrow characterization of the recent protest movement as boiling down to a basically totally sane and civil expression of a desire for police accountability. There have been many voices within or parallel to the Black Lives Matter movement that are downright incoherent and irrational in the way that they react to police shootings, and in the ways they'd actually like to see police departments reformed. John Oliver could and should do a similar segment lampooning to other side of this controversy, but I doubt he will. Christmas At Ground Zero.
And for you babby millennials: No, it's not about the World Trade Cetner. Did I miss a new Kim porno? American Airlines would have sold the kid and charged the price of a ticket to fly his luggage to you. I've cut my own hair with a vacuum cleaner attachment for 20 years so there's no explaining anything. I just suck myself. Lmao But I would weave 500 miles and I would weave 500 more... China didn't become rich through "free trade"... that's the fucking irony here is that you think that that's what's happening.
People say we're ruining nature. We can't ruin nature, nature will always find a new equilibrium. We humans might just not be part of it.
Nothing you do right now matters in 10.000 or 100.000 years.
What about driving species to extinction? Timoris, dahling, you are so very very very right. That kid fucks. i now understand. reqiem for a dream.
don't do heroin kids. Bat boys for life "I did nazi that coming" Its not a rollercoaster, suspense - release type horror, but it is extremely well-made, thouroughly researched, well-plotted, well-acted and creepy. So it as basically everything except the regular suspense - release flow that other horror movies have(not that there in none of it.
TBH i'm not a huge fan of typical horror movie feel, but like beautiful atmospherically creepy movies like The Shining or Sleepy Hollow, so this movie was perfect for me. With the way things are going don't be surprised if sum happened soon
You're earning enough to pay off your loans quickly - DO THAT FIRST.
This is bad advice and I suspect you do not understand what PSLF is. This doctor is working for a nonprofit and he has for 5 years. If he continues to work for a nonprofit for 5 more years, he believes he will be eligible for Public Sector Loan Forgiveness which would completely eliminate his ~$140k student loan.
OP, /u/scokalicious gave much better advice. Sit down and do the calculation of how much you would 'save' from PSLF after 5 years in a nonprofit versus how much extra you would make from 5 years in a private sector job. If after five years of low-level payments you are still looking at $120k+ principal, it may make sense, but I do not know what kind of money you can make in the private sector and that is a critical factor in your calculation. When you make that calculation, be sure to factor in any increase or decrease in long-term earning capacity that will occur based on your five years worth of resume at nonprofit v. private.
There is also non-finance related decisionmaking regarding nonprofit v private practice. The lifestyle, work-style, and areas of practice are different between the two, and that is a real decision you need to make.
Regarding investment / tax free accounts, unless you have some sort of employee match, I would focus on debt repayment first.
Regarding the home purchase, I don't know what market you are in (NYC? San Fran?) but $650k for a two bedroom is insane as you pointed out. With a $175k salary, enough for a nice down payment, and rent being a comparable monthly line item, I think it might be wise to buy so you can build equity. I would simply say that a $650k house is probably on the far end of affordability for you, and I would do whatever I could to get something acceptable to you and your young family in the $400k range, which you can much more comfortably afford.
