Notes: New Orleans drops to 0-3 with the 45-32 home defeat on Monday Night Football to the Atlanta Falcons as a -2 ½ point favorite. The total went over 54 points. It was a poor defensive effort by the Saints as they allowed 217 yards rushing to their NFC South rivals and two touchdown passes and 240 yards passing to Matt Ryan. Drew Brees hit on 36 of 54 passes for 376 yards with three touchdowns and a pick. The team finished with 474 offensive yards for the game. The Saints had a -2 turnover margin with a Drew Brees pick going for an Atlanta touchdown.

San Diego is 1-2 following the 26-22 road defeat to the Indianapolis Colts as a +1 ½ point underdog. The game total went under 51 ½ points. The Chargers couldn’t hold onto a 22-20 lead late as they surrendered a 63 yard touchdown pass by Andrew Luck with 1:17 remaining in the game. They didn’t run a lick with just 37 rushing yards on 17 carries. Phillip Rivers hit on 26 of 39 passes for 330 yards but could only engineer one touchdown in four red zone drives. On defense the Chargers allowed 410 yards to the Indianapolis offense with 331 yards passing with a touchdown and pick to Luck. San Diego lost three fumbles and finished with a -1 turnover margin.
