A cool video has emerged of children creating balls of fire by blowing flour onto a gas flame.
In the footage, shot on Monday by science teacher Jacob Stirckling in New South Wales, Australia, Jacob's two children create the fire balls during a photoshoot for the 'Make Science Fun @ home' book which will be released in November.
"Due to the high surface area, the flour is very flammable and bursts into a large fire ball," Jacob explained online.
"Combustion of this kind has been responsible for many industrial fires and explosions involving dust from coal or flour."
"Silos are built with a special blast door so that the entire building doesn't explode in case of an incident of this nature," he added.
