DVB Debate:"Experts must come back even gov doesn't welcome"

This week in DVB debate, the studio asks “How do returning experts end up?”

Myanmar is suffering a lack of skilled human resources due to the fact that many skilled labours and experts have been leaving the country, especially since the government cracked down since the 1988 uprising. After President Thein Sein came to power in 2011, the new government started calling experts in exile, back to the country. However, only a few people returned. There are still many obstacles for Burmese abroad to return home.
Many students and political activists lost their citizenship and became exile for two decades. Although the government asks them to return, it is still questionable if they will get their citizenship back.
