Dramatic footage has emerged of a fire raging near a mountain in Madeira, Portugal.
The video, captured from a cable car on Monday, shows a plume of smoke rising high into the sky above Funchal.
More than 3,200 emergency workers have been battling to put out the flames, according to a local news organisation.
The fires are thought to have been caused by hot weather, with temperatures soaring above 35C.
