I can't give you anything but love, baby played on chromatic harmonica. It is a popular song published in 1928. The music was written by Jimmy McHugh, the lyrics by Dorothy Fields.

The song was introduced by Aida Ward and Willard McLean in the revue Blackbirds of 1928.

It was featured in the screwball comedy Bringing Up Baby (1938) in a scene where quirky heiress Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn) and befuddled paleontologist Dr. David Huxley (Cary Grant) attempt to coax a surly leopard named Baby off the roof of a house by singing "I can't give you anything but love, Baby". It is also used in film version of The Green Mile.

The song was recorded by many artists like Louis Armstrong(1928) Ethel Waters, with Duke Ellington(1928), Billie Holiday(1936), Fats Waller(1937), Anita O'Day(1945), Louis Jordan(1951), Doris Day(1953), Ella Fitzgerald(1957), Judy Garland(1961) or Marlene Dietrich(1965). James Darren also recorded this song in his 2001 album "Because of You". The song is also featured in the 2006 Tony-awarding winning Broadway play Jersey Boys.
