Bob Steele plays a cavalry commander who is sent out West to protect the new telegraph line being built. He must foil the plans of Leeds, a man who dreams of establishing a new country in the west and tries to stop wagons and other westward expansion by inciting the Indians. A perennial subplot to all Steele’s films with this character involved the commander trying to avenge his murdered father and impress his lady love, played by Frances Grant.
