Aerial footage has emerged from China of severe floods swamping several villages.

The video, captured in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on Monday, shows a large area completely covered in floodwater.

Villagers were reportedly evacuated when the rain started to fall, causing the most severe floods in Yixing in the past 17 years.
