Riots rock South Africa's capital ahead of vote

South Africa's capital Pretoria has been rocked by unrest, riots and looting in recent days sparked by upcoming nationwide municipal elections. Unrest erupted earlier this week after factional disputes over the ruling African National Congress (ANC) choice for Pretoria mayor in the hotly-contested vote due on August 3. But now inhabitants say thugs, not political activists, are behind the looting.
