The crab migration of Christmas island.

  • il y a 8 ans
Christmas Island, located in the Indian Ocean, is home to over 120 million red crabs, who each year deliver one of nature's most eye catching performances. During the rainy season, the crabs move 'en masse' from the forest to the rivers in order to reproduce. It's not only the number of crabs that makes the sight so spectacular - each one can weigh up to 1 kg!
