Rare insect devastates Nigeria’s tomato farms

A rare caterpillar-like creature is infecting tomato crops across much of northern Nigeria.
Farmers have lost their entire harvest because of the insect, known as Tuta Absoluta or Tomato Leaf Miner, and its resistance to pesticides.
