Indian rat snakes fight over female

Footage of two deadly snakes battling it out over a female.
The video, filmed in Gurakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India on Saturday, shows the two rat snakes entangling their bodies around each other, tying themselves into knots.
According to the filmer, the battle occured as both of the reptiles were trying to win the attentions of a female nearby, but all they succeeded in doing is attracting the attentions of passersby.
"The commuters passing through Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway stopped to watch and capture the 20 minute battle in Gidah," the filmer later wrote online.
