A funnel cloud was spotted over Fort Pierce following a tornado warning and severe storms in St. Lucie and Indian River counties, Florida, on Tuesday, May 17. Nearby Vero Beach was swamped with a record-breaking 9.78 inches of rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
