General Electric recently began testing the largest jet engine in the world.

General Electric recently began testing GE9X, the largest jet engine in the world. 
At 11 feet in diameter, it sets a world record. In fact, the engine is so large that it could fit Shaquille O'Neal inside--with Kobe Bryant perched on his shoulders. 
Its fuel nozzles were produced using additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, which allows the company to utilize shapes which were hitherto impossible to manufacture.
