I hanged around Los Angels in 2014. As far as I saw , atmosphere was peaceful. People were kind. But even in the center of downtown around 7th avenue there were some vacancies , I felt severe econmic situation. I met a lady who came from mexico for political asylum , an indie-film director, a street singer etc. I was shocked a bit when I asked the singer what did he think about deploying US troops for Afghanistan , he answered " It's wrong, but they will die anyway . Ha ha ha ". , bursted into laugh... It was April ,no rain Albert Hammond sang " It never rains in southern California " , it seems true .
