Boxing boys ,2003 (video/audio 4’37”)
Two boys are fighting a tug-of-war, much more extreme than any game: the spectator does not get an answer, his own interpretation co-determines what is actually going on.
The boys are so alike that they are almost impossible to distinguish. The camera constantly changes angles, which makes them hard to recognize as individuals. There might actually be only one boy, fighting himself. This is a realistic fight, without any obvious reason or noble goal, and both parties are identical.
