Here's an actress who doesn't know the words 'give up.' Rutanya Alda, originally from Latvia, spent years in a German refugee camp during WWII. Her dream of becoming an actress was sparked when she saw a movie in that camp. Today, she has been in over 100 movies and TV shows. While it would have been easy for her to give up or not follow her dreams, that wasn't an option for her. As if her upbringing wasn't a challenge enough, she also experienced a tragic loss of her husband. But she shares with us how she was able to overcome adversity and continue to persevere to this day.
