It's official: Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC.
The 2016 show will mark Kimmel's second time hosting the Emmys, serving as emcee of the show in 2012, when it last aired on ABC.
Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers are NBC's most recent hosts with Fox going with Andy Samberg last year and CBS selecting Neil Patrick Harris to host in 2009 and 2013.
ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey added, “Jimmy Kimmel is the consummate showman.
With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder, and better-than-ever Emmy event.”
