'Scenes from a Life' Reading 1 - The Start

RichardAbbott
An author reading from the historical novel 'Scenes From a Life', available at bookstores.
It follows about 20 years after 'In a Milk and Honeyed Land'. There is some overlap of characters, but the books can be read separately.
This section is at the start of the book. We are introduced to the central character, the scribe Makty-Rasut, who is living in the town we now call Luxor, at the time known as Waset. He is working at present on the interior decoration of the tomb of a senior priest in the main temple.
