I wrote this song for my wife on Valentines Day a few years ago when we were living in Santa Monica, CA. Its called Time Machine (Take Me Back). She loves country music and it only took me about 20 minutes to come up with the song. The lyrics just flowed naturally. I had it produced in Nashville, TN by Mark Riddick. He is a frickin genius. The singer is Ron Wallace. He nailed it and made it his own. I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. Anyway, I hope you like it. Here are the lyrics:\r \r On a lonely highway\r A thousand miles from home\r Another routine business trip\r Another night alone\r \r On the local radio\r Theres a story about a man\r Who claims he built a time machine\r and traveled distant lands\r \r So I drove on over\r to see with my own eyes\r and met this older gentleman\r who took me by surprise\r when he said Son wont you come on in,\r and take her for a ride.\r Just tell me where you want to go,\r and shell take you back in time.\r \r You can see the pyramids\r being built stone by stone\r You can walk with Gladiators,\r through the streets of Rome,\r You can sail across the sea,\r with Columbus and his men,\r You can go anywhere you want to go,\r places youve never been\r \r And I said, \r \r (chorus)\r Take me back\r to when I first held her hand\r Take me back to our very first kiss,\r Cause I wanna live it all over again,\r Oh Mister, theres nothing \r that I want to see more than this\r \r He said, Are you sure son?,\r Cause I hate to break the news\r You only get one chance to ride \r so be careful how you choose\r I dont think he understands\r and he probably wonders, Why?\r But I cant think of a greater day\r than the day I met my wife\r \r Sir, I dont mean to be rude,\r but can you turn on that machine\r and switch that dial back to \r the summer of 93\r I want everything to be \r the way it was back then\r And Ill ask her to marry me,\r all over again
