Rentrée scolaire 2006. Etat des lieux des écoles à Bukavu. Des écoles de différents niveaux, est devenue un commerce ou une source de revenu, la qualité de l’enseignement est limite. Dans l’ensemble, l’investissement est un mot « oublié ». L’Etat est absent sur tous les points, et en particulier de son rôle de solidarité pour limiter les coûts individuels. Ce sont alors les parents qui prennent en charge les frais scolaires important pour la plupart d’entre eux et pourtant insuffisants pour investir dans les formations des enseignants, les matériels didactiques et les bâtiments…
