Heroes of Conservation 2014: The Salmon Cultivator

For almost 20 years, Heroes of Conservation Finalist Dr. John Muramatsu has been involving Seattle-area youth in the restoration of coho salmon populations through his Salmon in the Classroom program. His volunteer fundraising efforts and hands-on demonstrations have helped 5,000 kids raise and release cohos—and that's just a portion of what he's accomplished as a leader of his local Trout Unlimited chapter since 1993.
