How Do SpaceX's Reusable Rockets Work?

Elon Musk's SpaceX is trying to build rockets that automatically return to Earth under their own power, and land upright on floating drone ships. It's pretty hard! But if it works, it could make space flight 100 times cheaper than it is today.
