Snake catcher Barry Goldsmith filmed his non-venomous slaty-grey snake, known as ‘Stego’, having its first meal of a baby rat. In the video, the reptile can be seen to swallow the (dead) rat by hyperextending its jaw and swallowing it whole. Goldsmith told Storyful: “He scoffed it like a little pig.” Quite a feast.
