Featuring an all star cast of tremendous actors, Slander House is a biting farce that takes potshots at high society in the thirties. Helen, played by the drop dead gorgeous Adrienne Ames, owns a beauty salon for the wealthy. While the affluent women are getting made over, they gossiped up a storm. A newspaper columnist learns of all the juicy tidbits being batted around, he starts writing it up and scandals ensue! The script is sharp and stinging, the actors are deft and clever, Slander House is a gem of classic cinema.
