#Halloween #Udon #Mummy #Recipe We used flat "kishimen" noodles wrapped around a fish sausage to make a mummy. The noodles are powdered with potato starch so they are firm and retain a white color even after being fried. This is sort of like a Japanese version of the corndog and is a great Halloween snack. It also looks a little like the Dragon Quest mummy!
*RECIPE*(Makes 3 mummies) 1.Mix and sift 1 tbsp (10g) potato starch, 1 tbsp (8g) cake flour, 1/2 tbsp (5g) Powdered sugar 2.Spread 1 bag (200g) of kishimen flat noodles 3.Powder the noodles with the flour mixture 4.Wrap three large hot dogs (we use fish sausage) with seaweed 5.Wrap the noodles around the seaweed. Make sure to leave an opening for the eyes 6.Heat vegetable oil to 180℃ and fry the hot dogs until slightly browned。 7.Use a straw to carve out the eyes 8.Attach to the hotdogs 9.Decorate with ketchup to make a bloody mummy man!
You can easily powder the noodles by putting them in a plastic bag and shaking. You can also use small sausages to make mini-mummies.
