Jack Black is set to star in the upcoming comedy Micronations. Jared Hess will direct the film, reuniting with Black after their successful collaboration on Nacho Libre. The film will tell the story of a loveable oddball (played by Black) living in a landscape of backyards declared "do-it-yourself countries". The film will be the first title from Hess, Brandt Andersen and Dave Hunter's new production and financing banner, Buffalo Film Company. Hess' next film is Masterminds and will be released on August 7, while Jack Black will next be seen in the D Train which hits theaters in September.
