Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is suspected to have fractured his right hand in a fight with a member of the team's equipment staff at a restaurant in Toronto, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
According to the person, Griffin and a member of the team's equipment staff were both sent back to Los Angeles following the incident.
The Clippers are 11-3 without Griffin, who was with the Clippers on the road trip and was close to rejoining the team before the hand injury.
Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and five assists this season, and the Clippers are fourth place in the Western Conference.
