One-legged pigeon drinking melting ice in Canada

Adorable footage of a one-legged pigeon drinking water from melting ice on a cold winter's day in Montreal, Canada.

The video, filmed yesterday, shows the bird balancing perfectly on its one leg, while sipping water from the melting ice on a wall.

The filmer later wrote online: "Pigeons in Montreal tend to have injured legs as a result of pigeon spikes, or electric cables that are intended to prevent them from perching on buildings.

"This poor guy is trying to get his day's hydration when most water is in the form of ice."
