ADNAN OKTAR: In a verse in the Qur'an, God says in regard to the heaven, "what an excellent lodging.” What does it mean that the heaven is a lodging? Indeed, heaven is the abode, the place of permanence. It is the place where God demonstrates His decisions and provisions. There, the believers are at ease, and they sit down, talk, and have a good time, and commemorate God. God does not want to be alone, but He does not want people to be cloistered either. He wants people to love Him sincerely, friendly, and enthusiastically and to admire Him. God wants to stay with them forever. That is the matter. God is not a mechanical device, rather, He is a spirit. God desires for affection, love, and passion. He would be glad to see that people experience these feelings, not in the same way that we would be glad, but He still would be pleased.
