OKLAHOMA CITY — Five high school students have been arrested after a brutal fight was caught on camera.
A video of the sickening scenes at Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City on Tuesday has clocked up more than 75,000 views online.
The violence was gang-related, a teacher told KFOR. Teachers have now been advised to exercise caution when letting students out of class, KFOR reported.
The graphic footage captures the moment one teenage student knocks out another with just one punch, before a third teen stamps on the victim's face.
Police said several teachers were also assaulted or threatened during the incident, KFOR reported.
Two students seen in the video attacking the victim were arrested for assault and battery, while another teenager was held for assault against a coach or teacher, KFOR reported.
Police also arrested two other students for making threats.
One of the students is alleged to have threatened a teacher, while another reportedly warned they would "shoot up the school", according to a Twitter post by KFOR anchor Sheldra Brigham.
Oklahoma City police said in a statement they would provide additional security at the school as a precaution against further violence.
