Kusasi is an orangutan, whose remarkable life is chronicled when NATURE airs FROM ORPHAN TO KING, November 25th at 8pm EST on PBS (check local listings.) Kidnapped as a baby by hunters who killed his mother, Kusasi is rescued by police, only to face a different kind of confinement. But he escapes that too, and somehow miraculously survives in the jungle at an age when a solitary infant would almost certainly face a cruel death.
