Palmyra Arch That Survived ISIS Attacks To Be Replicated In London And NY
  • 8 years ago
Replicas of the Temple of Bel entranceway, which survived the destruction efforts of ISIS, will be put up in both London and New York.

As ISIS has swept through the Middle East, claiming territories along the way, it has also been destroying historic monuments it deems ‘idolatrous.'
Among them was a Syrian temple in Palmyra which was demolished by the terror group in August, but somehow the structure’s 50-foot-tall entrance evaded ruin.
Replicas of that monument will be put up in both London and New York as a statement of resilience and a ‘gesture of defiance.’
