This video is a 2010 episode of a popular TV talk show in Japan called 「徹子の部屋」 "Tetsuko no Heya" (Tesuko's Room). The host of the show, 黒柳徹子, Tesuko Kuroyana, is a Japanese beauty famous for her onion-shaped hairdo.
In this show, she visited Nobu and his mother Itsuko at their home in Tokyo. There are many delightful moments.
In one scene, Mrs. Tsujii (Nobu's mother) serves a dish known as the Hayashi Rice that Nobu supposedly requested before every piano competition, including the 2009 Van Cliburn.
