announced today the launch of
“The VIEWPOINT”,a news magazine and
current affairs program that
focuses on issues of interest in the south
-east corner of Queensland.”The VIEWPOINT”
will give it’s viewing audience
a unique perspective with a fresh,innovative approach to news stories and current
affairs from both home and abroad.Weekly episodes of “The VIEWPOINT” will start on Monday November 12th at 6:30 pm.Briz 31 CEO
Andrew Carroll says that “The VIEWPOINT”
fits very well into the ongoing strategy of upgrading both the content and quality of programming at 31.”We are now well advanced into our re-structure of the station’s
broadcasting profile,and we believe that an
issues based program like “The VIEWPOINT” will add considerably to our market share.”
Initially developed as a co-production between Digital Media Group and Siriwan Entertainment,”The VIEWPOINT” has an international flavour with producer Al Caudullo having a long track record in the American broadcast industry including the
2000 Academy Awards.With a background in education and a passion for current affairs,co-producer Timothy Wells says “The VIEWPOINT” has a market niche.”There are news and current affairs programs out
there,but a lot of the issues that people are
concerned about are simply not being covered.We intend to change that.”
The first episode of “The viewpoint” will feature an interview with recently elected state member for Brisbane central,Grace Grace. Some other regular segments on
the program will be travel and consumer technology.
