Syria: Turkish Buffer Zone Linked to Attack on Russian Jet

Syrian military sources confirmed that a Syrian commando squad rescued a Russian pilot who was captured after Turkey shot down a Russian jet on Tuesday. The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces announced their intention to cut off all relations with Turkey. Turkish President Erdogan says that he has no intention of escalating the situation and has announced the creation of an intensive buffer zone.
