Come share with us the fabulous adventure of four men and their boat.
In the mid-eighties, Michel, Daniel, Claude and Bruno decided to build their sailboat
(Which they named Kim after reading Rudyard Kipling's famous novel) and sail around the world.
They wanted a taste of freedom.
In 1977, they left Montélimar (on the Rhône river, France) for an incredible 48000 mile cruise over 5 years.
A true adventure awaits them: Africa, Brazil, the Amazone, French Guyana, the West Indies, the Marquisas, Polynesia, New-Zealand, Australia ... Lands that seem accessible these days but for them, it was a work performed with the sole navigational instrument on board: the sextant.
Their meeting Paul Emile Victor (French Explorator of international renoun) and Bernard Moitessier (French Sailor and writer) comforts them in wanting to reach their ultimate goal: .
In 1981, KIM and its crew are stuck in the ice of the South Pole.
These twelve months spent in the ice to climb mounts Scott and Shackleton, to succeed in a 300 mile rally in 45 days, to encounter a new fauna whose environment is hostile to man...
They didn't need a film crew but their own skills to shoot the beautiful pictures which made the following (and one of the rarest) book and film.
A magnificent story made with ingredients such as Passion, Imagination, Boldness, Determination and an outstanding and everlasting Friendship which have all guided them through this Adventure.
