Giant panda released back into the wild after two years in captivity

A video has emerged from China of a giant panda called Huajiao being returned to the wild two years after she was trained to get used to nature.

In the video, filmed in Sichuan Province on Thursday, some breeders take Huajiao into a transfer cage and move her from a natural training centre to a national nature reserve.

When the workers open the cage to let her out, Huajiao firstly seems to be a bit frightened by the unfamiliar surroundings, taking a few minutes to come outside and run towards the mountain.

According to news reports, two-year-old Huajiao is the fifth panda in China that has been sent back to nature after growing up and being trained with her mother, instead of being looked after by giant panda keepers.
