Jared Fogle sentenced to 15 years, eight months in prison

Former Subway sandwich pitchman Jared Fogle was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in prison Thursday for possession and distribution of child pornography and traveling across state lines for commercial sex with a minor.
U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt announced the sentence in federal court in Indianapolis.
The sentence is to be served concurrently.
Fogle also will get lifetime supervision after he is released.
As per federal sentencing guidelines, he must serve 85% of his sentence before he is eligible for release.
Fogle's attorneys sought five years for one count of possession of child pornography and one count of traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor.
