The mother of a slain 9-year-old is under public scrutiny after being accused of using the money raised in a GoFundMe campaign to buy a new car.

On November 2nd, 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was coaxed into entering an alley in his Chicago neighborhood and killed.
Officials believe the boy’s shooting is linked to his father’s alleged gang activity. 
A GoFundMe page was started soon after, and in days brought in roughly $17,000 to pay for the youth’s funeral expenses.
