It’s Tuesday and time for the primary Dukascopy Spike Controller, providing you with the benchmark interbank price data. I`m Monica Gibson.
First up is the Euro/Dollar and spreads have averaged at point 28 pips during the last 24 hours, peaking at 1 and a half pips.
Daily volatility is 63 pips and it was recorded yesterday as the rate moved sharply down by point 58%.
Spreads have been generally calm and the biggest gap of only 1.5 pips took place yesterday at 11:05 as the rate declined.
The Cable’s long term average and maximum spreads are point 9 and 2.3 pips respectively.
Pound/Dollar gained point 41% or 62 pips yesterday, but rate movement has been relatively flat afterwards.
Spreads were slightly elevated yesterday at 11:30 PM GMT, but 2.3 pips is the biggest gap you should have seen.
Last up is the Dollar/Yen, which has a daily average of point 31 pips. Peak separation has been 1.1 pips.
Long term high and low difference is 59 pips and it was recorded yesterday as the rate declined by point 48%.
Spreads have remained at low levels during the last 24 hours, showing a max of 1.1 pips yesterday at 11:23 PM.
