Colombia: Santos Bows to FARC Pressure for Truce

The FARC rebels’ repeated calls for a bilateral ceasefire may soon have an answer. President Juan Manuel Santos said on Wednesday that the ceasefire could be a reality by January 1 if the two sides can reach an agreement on the fifth point of the peace talks, which has to do with the disarmament and demobilization of rebel fighters.
