USA Championship – Last Fighter Standing

New world sport calls for USA Fight Promoters

It’s raw, it’s real, it’s gripping, it’s thoroughly entertaining and it has already drawn support from around the world. Now, the organisers of this pioneering new world combat sport are bringing the tournament to the USA to find America’s very own Last Fighter Standing champion. Having some of the best fighters in the world coming from USA, this tournament will deliver a whole new level of action and entertainment in the world of fighting.

14 “wild card” entries will join 50 state winners (each male and female) in the battle to determine who will rule. The competitions are open to exceptional fighters who have proven their ability in any of the martial arts and have passed the qualification process. To qualify, the prospective “wild cards” must submit their profile and letters of motivation explaining why they believe they should be a “wild card” in the Championship. The 50 fighters representing each state will have qualified after individual inter-state competitions as governed by the LFS rules and regulated by ISKA (International Sport Karate Association).

LFS recognises the equal skill, training and effort required from men and women to compete at world championship level. As a result, the organisers have established equal purse prizes for both genders. As around 85% of competitors worldwide are also currently “stand-up” fighters, LFS also provides a more balanced platform with which to test fighters’ technique, skill and thresh-hold. It does this through the application of three two-minute rounds per bout and limitations such as a 20-seconds on the ground rule. For fighters, this makes the sport faster, continuous and more competitive, particularly as they can elect to use any fighting style or combination that they are comfortable with – even going as far as to include local, traditional fighting styles which could give them a unique and unexpected edge when it comes to international battles. With the shortened rounds and limited time on the ground, fighters have no time to waste and will climb straight in to action, hence promising to deliver more KO's and spectacular finishes.

LFS is highly entertaining for spectators and television viewers alike. The rules allow for constant action, high-energy engagement and adrenalin pumping appeal. If previous tournaments are anything to go by, the watching public are equally driven, vocally supporting their favourites who are encouraged to combine agility, technique with show-stopping flair. The cameras mounted around the unique hexagon ring mean that home viewers don’t miss out on the 360-degree action either. With such high paced, actioned-filled bouts, “you snooze you lose” will be the saying of the day for both the fighter and the spectators alike!

“LFS has been five years in the making. We have examined the existing tournaments, spoken to fighters from all disciplines, promoters and broadcasters and we are now confident that we have created the next evolution in global all styles fighting tournaments and explosive entertainment” commented LFS creator and co-founder Hanshi Craig Mayman, himself a world-recognised fighter.

Other contests specially designed for LFS include:

The Tri-Nations Nations Championship
The USA Championship
The Legends of the Arena (over 50s) Championship.

In addition to the USA Championship, the other regional and continental tournaments that form part of the LFS federation are:
